Careers at SkyRoot
Build instruments that end up in real plants.
We are a small engineering team in Pune. The board you design gets built, the firmware you write gets commissioned, and you will meet the operator who uses it. There is very little distance here between a decision and its consequences.
Why here
Small team, whole product.
In a large company you own a subsystem. Here you are likely to take something from specification to a commissioned panel, and then support it.
End-to-end ownership
Specification, schematic, firmware, enclosure and commissioning — often the same engineer across all of it.
Hardware that ships
Fifteen products in the field across water, HVAC, pharma and agriculture. Nothing here stays a prototype.
Site exposure
You will stand in plant rooms. It is the fastest way to learn why an isolated output matters more than a clever feature.
Open engineering
Documented register maps, open protocols, and design reviews where being right matters more than being senior.
Open positions
Current openings.
All roles are based at our Pune office. If nothing below matches but you think you would be useful here, write to us anyway.
Embedded Firmware Engineer
Firmware for our transmitters, converters and dataloggers — Modbus RTU stacks, 4–20 mA acquisition, calibration routines and cloud upload with local buffering.
Hardware / PCB Design Engineer
Schematic capture and layout for mixed-signal instrument boards. Analogue front ends, isolation barriers, power supplies, and design for manufacture.
Electrical Panel Design Engineer
Control panel, MCC, PDB and VFD panel design — GA drawings, internal layouts and detailed wiring schematics, through to build and installation.
Application & Service Engineer
Commissioning instruments on customer sites — RS-485 trunks, probe calibration, fault finding, and training the plant operator who has to live with it afterwards.
Android Developer
Mobile front-ends for industrial equipment and the SmartSence platform, from requirement through to store release.
Diploma / BE Internship
Six-month internships in firmware, hardware or panel design for E&TC, Electrical and Instrumentation students. Real boards, real sites, not filing.
How hiring runs
Four steps, two weeks.
Application
Send a CV and, if you have one, a link to something you have built — a board, a repo, a panel drawing. It counts for more than a formatted résumé.
Technical conversation
Forty-five minutes on what you have actually worked on. No puzzles, no whiteboard algorithms.
Practical exercise
A short, realistic task in your discipline — a firmware routine, a schematic review or a panel layout. Done in your own time, discussed with us afterwards.
Offer
A visit to the office, a conversation about terms, and a decision either way. We tell you if it is a no.
Apply
Tell us what you have built.
A CV is fine, but a link to something real is better — a repository, a board you designed, a panel you wired, a project from your final year.
